Access Florida provides assistance in buying food, possible cash Assistance, low or no cost health care and help paying Medicare premiums to those who qualify. This is a service operated by the Florida Department of Children and Families. If your new to this online service it is highly recommended you check out the prescreening tool to determine if your even eligible for any of these benefits. The ACCESS Florida’s Prescreening Tool is a simple and quick way to determine if it is even worth your time to apply for benefits. The prescreening tool will require you to answer a few easy questions in relation to your income and the amount of people in your household. If you complete the prescreening application and feel the need to go back and make changes please do so. This is not an application and is not final. After your answers are submitted you will be able to determine if your eligible. Please note that even if the Tool says your household may not be eligible you are more than welcome to complete an online application and await your official denial letter.

To apply for benefits please make sure you have the following information on hand as it will make the application process go faster. Your Social Security number and date of birth. Your health insurance coverage and plan if you have one, total household expenses, how much you make a month from your job, how much you pay out in support services such as child support, net worth information and proof of U.S. citizenship. Having this information on hand will make the application process much easier.
